Mother’s Day Brunch held at the Volunteer Fire Department

BELLE FOURCHE, S.D. – Mothers are often there to kiss wounds, take you to practice, and help with homework. This Mother’s Day the Belle Fourche Volunteer Fire Department and its auxiliary hosted a brunch.

It was open for all moms and their families to enjoy and celebrate. Every mom that walked in received flowers and was served food. The auxiliary is made up of many mothers and they wanted to express their gratitude to mothers in the community.

One mom, Jessica Carmichael, is part of the auxiliary. She describes motherhood as this:

“Sometimes it’s exhaustion but a lot of times it’s pure love and enjoyment. Watching a child is amazing.”

The auxiliary spent countless hours preparing the truck bay and the food for Mother’s Day.
