Monument Health stocks up on medical supplies for flu season
RAPID CITY, S.D. — With the increase in COVID-19 cases, Monument Health has found it difficult to get some of the supplies that they need.
Monument Health is bulk-ordering all of the supplies they need, to not only be prepared for COVID-19, but in preparation of flu season.
The plan is to have enough supplies to get monument through January. Monument’s working with manufacturers in the U.S. and internationally to make sure that they receive the needed supplies before they run out.
Brad Haupt, Monument Health Supply Chain Vice President, said “The majority of our supplies we are running about a 30 day supply on hand our allocations are coming in they’re are certain supplies we will go down to zero once a week until our allocation gets here then it comes back up to 7 to 10 days so we are just constantly monitoring that”
Monument Health right now is ordering ten times its normal amount of masks, face shields, gloves and gowns.
