Monument Health advises online services for help

RAPID CITY, S.D. — Monument Health’s Nurse Triage Line has been busy the last couple of weeks with the call volume more than doubling.

The triage line was set up during the early part of the pandemic to help answer questions for those who may have COVID-19 symptoms. The triage line also helps those with concerns, schedule a test and help those looking to get vaccinated schedule an appointment.

Although the triage line staff is happy to schedule appointments, they say there are faster ways.

“There are several ways to get a test scheduled, you don’t have to call the nurse triage line,” says Dr. Alesia Gillen. “The fastest and simplest way is to probably get online at Monument.Health or to log into your Monument Health MyChart patient portal.”

Triage nurses are also available for patient questions about any of acute health concerns.

The number for the Nurse Triage Line is (605) 755-1350 on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and weekends from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
