Mason Steele signs National Letter of Intent with USF
RAPID CITY, S.D. — Rapid City Stevens standout Mason Steele signed a national letter of intent Saturday to play basketball next year for the University of Sioux Falls.
Steele made the announcement in front of family and friends at Rapid Skillz in Rapid City.
The 6-foot-8 center has helped lead the Raiders to a 12 and 6 record so far this season. Steele is currently averaging just over 13 points and eight rebounds per game.
On Saturday Steele talked about making the transition from the high school to the college level.
“I’m really excited. It’s going to be a fast paced game and the faster it is the more fun it is it seems like. I’m going to have to get a lot stronger, a lot smarter. But its going to be a lot of fun. That’s a very competitive level at the Division II.”
