“Mask Up Spearfish” encouraging businesses in community to “Mask Up” to stop spread of COVID-19

SPEARFISH S.D. — With the number of COVID-9 cases and deaths surging in the community, Spearfish Mayor Dana Boke is reminding everyone to “Mask Up”.

The mayor has created three 30-second public service announcements asking the community to “Mask Up”.

NewsCenter1’s Jeremy Guttierez reached out to some businesses in the city, but the ones he reached out to said they did not have a mask mandate for their customers, but do make it mandatory for staff to wear one.

“To protect our loved ones, friends, and neighbors, we ask everyone in Spearfish to do your part,” Boke said. “Our actions matter, take action, and join us in “Mask Up Spearfish”.

The CDC recommends wearing a mask in public places in order to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
