PORCUPINE, SD — While checking on Oglala Lakota County residents affected by flood waters Sunday night, a Pennington County Search & Rescue Vehicle needed some rescuing of its own when it became stuck in the mud.

After struggling to get themselves out, the PCS&R crew reached out to the Martin Volunteer Fire Department for assistance.

With a little help from the Martin Firefighters and Doug O’Bryan Contracting, the PCS&R vehicle was removed from the mud without any further damage, showing that even first responders require a little help every now and then.
