Man hit by car on Interstate 90 in Rapid City Sunday night

RAPID CITY, S.D. — South Dakota Highway Patrol has confirmed to NewsCenter1 that a man was struck by a vehicle on Interstate 90 shortly before 11 p.m. Sunday night.

The 21-year-old, who has not yet been identified, was hit on I-90 at mile marker 59, close to the North Street exit.

He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. There is no update on his condition at this time.

South Dakota Highway Patrol led the investigation and say no charges are pending against the driver.
