Man dies in pickup crash near Devils Lake

DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (AP) — The North Dakota Highway Patrol says a 52-year-old man has died in a pickup crash near Devils Lake.

Authorities say the man was driving a Dodge Dakota on state Highway 20 when he left the roadway and struck a large electric utilities pole on Saturday evening.

The pickup caught fire. The driver, who was from Devils Lake, died at the scene.

Authorities say conditions were clear and sunny at the time of the crash. The name of the man was not released.
