Man behind armed robbery of Rapid City business wanted by police

RAPID CITY, S.D. — The Rapid City Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that happened Sunday morning at a business located at 1320 Mount Rushmore Rd. in Rapid City.

Police were dispatched around 1:05 a.m. and according to an employee at the business, a man came in and pointed a pistol at her. The man took the money from the cash register and left.

According to witnesses, the suspect is described as a “slender native American male, standing approximately 6’0″ wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and jeans.”
