RAPID CITY, S.D. — The 2019 Walk for Warmth will be this Saturday, February 2 at 2 p.m.

This is the 8th annual year of the event, which raises money to help those in need heat their homes through the winter and cool them during summer.

The Walk begins at Main Street Square and follows a 1.5 mile loop through downtown Rapid City.

Registration is $10.00 per person. Kids under twelve are free when accompanied by a paying adult, and those with college and military IDs can register for $5.00.

Black Hills Energy will be matching donations up to $10,000, with all proceeds going to the Salvation Army for their energy assistance program.

As a bonus, the Elks Theatre will be providing free admission to any movie for all Walk for Warmth participants on February 2. All you need to do is show your Walk for Warmth wristband at the doors.

Walk for Warmth is a collaboration of the Salvation Army, Black Hills Energy, the Homeslice Group and Main Street Square. To register or find more information, visit
