Luxury Theater Coming to Rapid City

Golden Ticket Cinema

Rapid City — The Golden Ticket Cinema is in development to become the first luxury movie theater in Rapid City.

The North Carolina based company has locations in Pennsylvania, Nebraska, and Minnesota and is changing the theater game. The goal is to create a more convenient and comfortable experience. Amenities include reclining chairs, online reservations, and even adult beverages.

General manager Michael Hartley was recruited to bring the vision to life at the former AMC Classic Rushmore 7 Theater. He believes Rapid City is the ideal location for this new venture. He says “It’s an up and coming business, they are located centrally out of North Carolina and they are starting to come Midwest. And it was very fortunate that they came to town because it just so happens Rapid City is a great place to have a movie theater and have these kind of concepts.”

Hartley was the general manager of both the Rushmore 7 and the AMC 10. He initially started at the lowest level as part of the film crew, but quickly found his passion. He now has 17 years of experience under his belt. “I’m putting together a great crew, there’s a lot of experience, a lot of people I know and I’m trying really hard to get on the team so we’ll be able to deliver a great experience for our patrons in Rapid City.”

The theater may be luxury, but ticket pricing is just a little above average making it quite affordable. Not to mention service members receive a military discount with their I.D. Patrons can also look forward to additional perks, including discounted Tuesday tickets and discounted drinks and snacks on Wednesday.

Tickets are already available online for Joker, Maleficent, Zombieland, and Terminator at https://rapidcity.gtcinemas.com/. The Golden Ticket Cinema will open on November 1st, 2019.
