RAPID CITY, S.D. — With local volunteer fire departments assisting in the fires around the area, a local woman has decided to raise money for their cause.

Lily Bruckner of Rapid City started a t-shirt fundraiser for volunteer fire departments that fought the Schroeder Fire. Shirts cost $15 and the goal is to raise at least a thousand dollars.

In the end, its about supporting those who’ve been there for the community.

“They provide so much support for our community – my dad was a volunteer firefighter for 20 years, my brother was a volunteer firefighter – so really a cause near and dear to my heart and I’m happy to support them however I can because they really have showed up for our community through this disaster and we’re really grateful for them,” Bruckner said.

The deadline for ordering a t-shirt is April 15.

A Facebook group has been created for the fundraiser. Those wishing to order can send their request and shirt size to: SFshirts21@gmail.com
