Local Red Cross volunteers travel to help Arkansas relief
RAPID CITY, S.D. — Two Red Cross volunteers from the Black Hills are traveling to Arkansas to provide relief after storms ravaged the area.
Tornadoes, severe weather and flooding have devastated many states in the Midwest. In response, hundreds of volunteers have stepped up to help.
Becky Eisenbraun from Hill City and Ken Michaelson from Rapid City are deploying to Bentonville Arkansas to assist. The two will be helping people find shelter and connect with family members.
Even with her psoriatic arthritis, Eisenbraun says that the Red Cross accommodates and gives her the opportunity to help those in need.
“They allow me to work within my limitations,” Eisenbraun says, “and if I need to make changes, everyone is on board with it.”
