Lightning strike causes power outage in south Rapid City

UPDATE: Power has been restored to the Moon Meadows Substation.

RAPID CITY, S.D. — Black Hills Electric Co-op has announced that a lightning strike at the Moon Meadows Substation has caused a power outage for south Rapid City.

According to their Facebook post, Black Hills Electric Co-op does not have an estimated time of restoral, and the substation will be without power until crews are able to make the necessary repairs.
