Legion Baseball: Sioux Falls East shuts out Post 22

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City Post 22 improved to 7-5 on Wednesday night after sweeping Sioux Falls West.

In fact, Post 22 outscored Sioux Falls West, 26-13.

The Hardhats were hoping to win their fourth straight on Thursday as they hosted Sioux Falls East. However, Post 22 fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 3-0 loss to Post 15.

Both teams were led by strong pitching.

Tanner Olmstead lasted six and two-thirds innings for Sioux Falls. He allowed five hits and zero runs while striking out five.

Meanwhile, Bransen Kuehl took the loss for Post 22. He allowed three hits and two runs over four and a third innings, striking out six.

Alex Weaver went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Post 22.

Post 22 will host Renner on Saturday, June 1 at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Then the Hardhats will entertain Harrisburg on Sunday, June 2 in a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.
