Lakota Nation Invitational: Quarterfinals

RAPID CITY, S.D. – This year’s Lakota Nation Invitational basketball tournament is loaded, especially on the boys side.

In fact, three of the boys teams are currently ranked in the top five in the state including the White River Tigers.

The Tigers opened the tournament on Wednesday with an 81 point win over Marty.

White River returned to the court on Thursday to play Cheyenne Eagle Butte in the quarterfinals.

Teron Sazue and Jadice Morrison each scored 15 points, as the Tigers defeated the Braves, 70-53.

White River will now play Omaha Nation on Friday at 7 p.m. in the semifinals.

The Red Cloud Crusaders advanced to the semifinals on Thursday with a 62-37 win over Lower Brule.

Stevi Fallis led the Crusaders with 15 points. Red Cloud will square off against Crow Creek in the semifinals on Friday at 2 p.m.
