Lake Andes man sentenced for abusive sexual contact of a child

PIERRE, S.D. – A Lake Andes man sentenced for abusive sexual contact of a child. According to United States Attorney Ron Parsons, Terry Clement Blaine, age 63, was indicted on November 6, 2018 and pled guilty on June 26, 2019.

The conviction stemmed from incidents that occurred between 2010 and 2013, when, according to the Department of Justice release, Blaine engaged in sexual contact with a child under the age of 12. According to the release, the molestation occurred when the child was visiting a relative’s home.

Blaine was sentenced to 240 months in federal prison, followed by 10 years of supervised release, and a special assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund in the amount of $100.
