Knights of Columbus to host annual Free Throw Championship

STURGIS, S.D. — The Knights of Columbus Council are hosting a free throw competition in Sturgis this upcoming Sunday.

Boys and girls ages 9 to 14 can participate and winners will progress from local to state competitions. The Free Throw Championship is held annually, with over 120,000 participants competing every year in over 3,600 events.

According to the KofC, the event provides kids with an opportunity to grow athletically and learn good sportsmanship.

The competition will be held at the Sturgis Armory at 3 p.m. on January 27th. Proof of age and parental consent is required. Registration begins before the event.
