Klima scores 4 goals in home opener to lift Rush over the Grizzlies

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The hockey season is back.

The Rapid City Rush hosted Utah on Friday night.

Kelly Klima scored all four of Rapid City’s goals and the Rush won their home opener 4-3 over the Grizzlies.

Klima, who was just assigned to the Rush from Tucson on Friday morning, tied a franchise record for the most goals in a game.

Josh Dickinson led Utah with two goals and now has a total of nine goals on the season.

Erik Kallgren stopped 27 of 30 shots for the Rush, winning back-to-back starts.

The Rush conclude their home-opening weekend with a rematch against the Utah Grizzlies on Saturday night. The puck drop is slated for 7:05 p.m. at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center Ice Arena.

Following the game on Saturday, the Rush will auction off the 10th Anniversary Championship throwback jerseys that the team is wearing this weekend.
