Kids take the wheel at interactive fundraiser

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Touch-a-Truck fundraiser was in town on Saturday.

It was held at Black Hills Harley- Davidson and all of the funds went to The Children’s Museum of the Black Hills.

Kids were able to get behind the wheel of trucks, honk the horns, rev the engines, and win prizes. There were also demonstrations and educational activities.

“Children learn through play and that’s been proven by countless amounts of studies. They get to get in it, talk to the operators, and every vehicle here has an operator with it. They get to ask them questions and find out about what the vehicle does and how it serves us,” said Dr. Lily Bruckner, the museum founder.
