Kids can master coding with the help of ‘Code Ninjas,’ a new business in Rapid City
RAPID CITY, S.D.– ‘Code Ninjas’ is a franchise now with a location in Rapid City. The coding business along with the Rapid City Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday.
Enrolled children, ages 7-14, will be taught how to code for game building, and while doing so will gain “belts,” or wristbands, that correlate to the level of skill building they achieve.
“We don’t want to just create coders we want to teach them the trouble shooting skills,” said Co-owner Travis Brink, “The critical thinking skills, it’s things kids can use anywhere in any job.”
There are a variety of programs offered and the classes are flexible.
Brink and his wife, Chandelle, say kids who enroll have the opportunity to take a class that works with their schedule, and their parents’.
