The celebration featured all sorts of family friendly events such as carnival games & prizes, bounce castles, petting zoo, strider bicycle course & races, train rides, face painting, photo booth, dunk tank, live entertainment, food and drinks, silent auction and some live entertainment to listen to while you walk around. Kenadi Jean Weis Foundation or KJWF is a non-profit and was created in honor of Kenadi Weis, who unexpectedly passed at the age of 5.
Due to an anoxic brain injury at birth, Kenadi was non verbal and confined to a wheelchair, but that didn’t stop her loving spirit. Her family says she understood more than they realized and possessed great determination. During her short time being apart of this world, she touched many lives. KJWF continues to raise funds to build an all-inclusive playground destination in Spearfish. The impressive and unique universally accessible play environment will welcome kids and familiesof all ages and abilities to meet, interact, learn and grow together through parallel play.
