Jewel Cave National Monument Visitor Center reopens Wednesday

CUSTER, S.D. — The Jewel Cave National Monument Visitor Center reopened Wednesday, January 12 after closing last week.

The monument’s Visitor Center closed due to a broken boiler and cold temperatures.

With weather permitting, Jewel Cave National Monument plans to remain open for regular winter hours from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday for the rest of the season.

Cave tours are not offered at this time.
