James Webb Telescope captures beautiful look at emerging stars as they are forming
Powerful telescopes are giving us a better look at young stars as they’re forming. Astronomers are using the James Webb Space Telescope to look inside spiral galaxies.
The telescope can see the universe in infrared light which enables it to look through the dust that until now has prevented us from seeing the formation of emerging stars.
The stars release energy, creating giant bubbles of gas and dust that sometimes overlap, forming a structure similar to a spiderweb.
This observation program will continue to focus on different galaxies, taking images of star formation, offering new insights about the life cycle of stars.
