Jake Sullivan among nominees for Harlon Hill Trophy

RAPID CITY, S.D. – After wrapping up an outstanding season in which he broke 17 school records, South Dakota School of Mines and Technology senior quarterback Jake Sullivan has been nominated for the 2018 Harlon Hill Trophy as the NCAA Division II college football player of the year.

Sullivan is one of 37 players from across the nation nominated for the award. He wrapped up the 2018 season by passing for 3,576 yards and 32 touchdowns. Sullivan also rushed for 340 yards and 10 scores.

The Rapid City native led the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference in passing yards, passing attempts and completions and yards per game.

Former Chadron State running back, Danny Woodhead, was a two-time winner of the Harlon Hill Trophy.

The winner for this year will be announced on Friday, Dec. 14 and will be honored at the Little Rock Touchdown Club awards banquet on Jan. 10, 2019.
