Interested in winter volleyball? Registration is now open

RAPID CITY, S.D. — Registration for the Rapid City Recreation Department’s Winter Volleyball Leagues is open.

“There’s a chill in the air and that means it’s time to be thinking winter volleyball,” said Recreation Specialist Matt Brandhagen. “These leagues provide great opportunities to compete and have fun with friends and coworkers.”

Where can I register?

Rapid City’s Parks and Recreation has online registration here.

Participants can also stop by the Swim Center at 125 Waterloo Street or the Parks and Rec Office at 515 West Boulevard.

Registration deadline is Oct. 26 with the season set to start the week of Nov. 1.

Where and when will the matches be held?

There are women’s, coed and reverse open divisions with matches held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The 11-week leagues will play at both South and West Community Gyms and there is a double-elimination end-of-season tournament.

What does it cost?

Cost for league play is $240 per team.
