Inmate from Rapid City minimum-security unit back in custody

Inmate Alexander Cook was apprehended in Rapid City December 29.

Cook failed to return to the Rapid City Community Work Center following his work release shift December 27.

Failure to return from a work assignment constitutes second-degree escape, a Class 5 felony punishable by up to five years in prison.
