Inmate arrested in Rapid City 5 months after ‘escape’

RAPID CITY, S.D. – A minimum-security inmate is back in custody after walking away from his community service job June 8.

Jesse White Thunder, 33, was arrested Nov. 2 in Rapid City. White Thunder also goes by Jesse White Eagle Elk and Jesse E. Thunder.

White Thunder was serving time for possession of a controlled substance in Pennington County. His initial parole was scheduled for October.
