In one-on-one interview, Thune talks business, tourism
Wide-ranging discussion includes what it's like trying to get things done in a capital controlled by Democrats
RAPID CITY, S.D. — South Dakota’s senior senator, John Thune, recently spent time in the Black Hills area, meeting with local businesses and speaking with area stockgrowers.
While in Rapid City, the second-highest ranking Republican in the U.S. Senate sat down with NewsCenter1’s Eric Greene for a wide-ranging discussion that touched on West River’s business climate, trying to move agriculture-related legislation while in the minority in Congress and with a Democratic administration in the White House, and what can be done to help tourism-related businesses find badly needed workers, among others.
