This will be a quick summary of weather conditions around the area and what we can expect moving forward, here’s some of the headlines for your Monday morning.

  • Flooding of the Little Big Horn has led to the closure of Interstate 90 between Hardin and the Wyoming/Montana Border. No word yet on when officials expect the route to be opened.

  • Dense fog will continue this morning over much of the Black Hills region. Low visibility, combined with mixed precipitation could make travel difficult at times. slow down, and give yourself plenty of time for your morning commute.

  • Flood warnings are widespread and involve many rivers and tributaries. Do not attempt to cross flooded roadways and do not go around barriers. Low lying areas will continue to flood. The good news is that the system this morning wont bring a large amount of moisture into the area. Snow melt will continue however, and many warnings stretch for at least the next couple days.

  • Thankfully, things dry out and warm up going into Tuesday and Wednesday. A possible system on Friday could impact travel, particularly south of the Black Hills.
