I-90 accident on Thursday near Deadwood Ave exit
RAPID CITY, S.D. – Thursday, traffic was piled up on Interstate 90 from LaCrosse Street to Deadwood Avenue.
The Department of Transportation had one lane closed in the westbound lane of I-90.
A 2010 Chevy Silverado pickup driven by a 24-year old male stopped abruptly due to the stopped traffic.
A 2010 Yamaha motorcycle, driven by William Smith, 42, of Ashland, KY rear-ended the pickup.
Smith was transported to Rapid City Monument Hospital with serious non-life threatening injuries. Smith was wearing a helmet.
The driver of the pickup was wearing a seatbelt and did not suffer any injuries.
Charges are pending for Smith.
Public is urged to use caution while westbound 1-90 has one lane closed.
