House approves measure to make it easier for military spouses to find work

RAPID CITY, S.D. — The House has approved a bill that would make it easier for military spouses to find work if an Airman is transferred to Ellsworth.

The bill requires the state to issue permits, certificates, or licenses to active-duty military and their spouses if they hold the same one in good standing in another state.

Rapid City Rep. Skyler Borglum serves on the Military and Veterans Affairs Committee and backs the measure.

It will now head to the Senate for a vote.
