Home invasion suspect arrested after attempted Wal-Mart theft
Rapid City Police have arrested a home invasion/assault suspect from December 2014.
Police found Elzie Benson, 25, after he attempted to steal from Wal-Mart on Sunday. An Asset Protection Associate at the North Lacrosse Street location called police after he suspected Benson of trying to return an item that was never purchased.
Police arrested Benson for Theft by Deception, along with the 2014 charges: a Felony Warrant for 1st Degree Burglary and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony.
