Home destroyed in fire on Conifer Lane

A home in South Rapid City has been destroyed in the early hours of Friday morning. 

In a statement released by Pennington County Fire Service, the Whispering Pines Volunteer Fire Department responded to a two-alarm structure fire at 5383 Conifer Lane in Rapid City, at approximately 1:56 a.m. 

Neighbors initially reported smelling smoke and then noticed the fire. Emergency services were immediately called, ensuring the occupants of a nearby structure were safely evacuated.

Firefighters were able to prevent the spread of the fire to other structures and no injuries to firefighters, civilians or animals have been reported.
