The damage to the house included missing shingles, tree damage, a flipped carport and a trampoline flipped into a tree.

The National Weather Service says landspout tornadoes are generally weak and short-lived, usually causing minimal property damage before dissipating. Landspouts are often difficult to detect on weather radar since they do not need a rotating storm to form.

These tornadoes are typically seen with developing thunderstorms before rain, hail and thunder is seen.
