Holiday Classic on Elks Big Screen for Christmas

RAPID CITY, S.D. – When the last present was unwrapped and the stockings unstuffed you may have found yourself with time to pass before sitting down for Christmas dinner. Many chose to pass that time at the movie theater.

The historic Elks Theater in Rapid City had just the film to keep you in the Christmas spirit, the Jimmy Stewart classic “It’s A Wonderful Life.” The film has become a tradition for many during the holiday season.

Earl Scoggins of Rapid City says, “I think it’s the main one, I’ve been watching it for maybe since the late 70s. I think it’s the Christmas spirit and you know that no matter how bad you think things may be going that your life is pretty good, you do have things to be thankful for.”

The theater had two showings of “It’s A Wonderful Life” Christmas afternoon with two additional show times in the evening.
