High Winds Cause Partial Building Collapse in Custer

CUSTER, S.D. – A building has partially collapsed in downtown Custer as of Sunday evening according the the Custer County Sheriff’s Office’s Facebook Page.

This occurred at Flora’s, off of 6th street. Custer County Sheriff’s Office is asking residents to avoid the area as high winds and blowing debris are still active at this time.

Roads around the area including 6th street have been closed.

A 67 mph wind gust was reported in downtown Rapid City this afternoon, wind reports continue to come in as the storm continues this evening from all over the Black Hills.
