High School Football Week 4: Central falls to Watertown in Rushmore Bowl

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The 28th Annual Rushmore Bowl was held Friday at O‘Harra Stadium.

The first game featured Rapid City Central and Watertown.

The Cobblers were finally happy to be home after losing their first two games on the road.

Central and Watertown traded touchdowns early in the game.

Lane Darrow had a 44-yard touchdown run for Central.

Then Darrow caught a 15-yard touchdown pass from Kohl Meisman to pull the Cobblers to within two, 14-12.

But Watertown pulled away in the second half and held on to beat Rapid City Central, 38-32.

Central quarterback Kohl Meisman left the game late in the second quarter with an ankle injury.

Meanwhile, No. 3 Harrisburg shut out Rapid City Stevens in the second game at the Rushmore Bowl, 44-0.
