High School Football: Stevens dominates Central to wrap up the regular season
RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City Central and Stevens resumed their long-running rivalry Thursday on the gridiron.
It marked the 59th meeting between these two teams with Stevens leading the all-time series, 30-28.
Not only were the teams fighting for bragging rights, but a spot in the Class 11 AAA playoffs, as well.
Last season, the Cobblers pulled out a four-point win over Stevens.
But this year was a completely different story.
The Raiders dominated the Cobblers with 49-0 victory.
Senior running back Uriah Glynn was outstanding for Stevens.
Glynn scored five touchdowns on the ground and one through the air.
The Stevens Raiders improve to 3-6 on the season.
The Raiders, who qualify for the Class 11 AAA playoffs as the No. 8 seed, will take on top seeded Harrisburg on Thursday, Oct. 28.
The Central Cobblers finish the season with a 1-8 record.
