High School Basketball Recap: Top-ranked O’Gorman powers past RC Central

RAPID CITY, S.D. –  January has not been kind to the Rapid City Central girls basketball team. So far this month, the Lady Cobblers have dropped three out of four games including two tough losses against Sturgis and Campbell County.

Things didn’t get any easier for Central on Friday evening, as the Cobblers hosted top-ranked Sioux Falls O’Gorman.

Emma Ronsiek scored 14 points to lead O’Gorman past the Cobblers, 54-29. Awoti Akoi added 12 points for the Knights.

Juneau Jones, Emma Avery and Morgan Sullivan each scored six points for the Cobblers who fall to 6-6 on the season.

Rapid City Central will host Sioux Falls Roosevelt on Saturday, Jan. 19 at 12 p.m. at Naasz Gymnasium.
