Hardrockers Earn NCAA All-Academic Honors for 3rd Consecutive Year

It's not just academics that the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology is known for. The school's men's and women's track and field teams have both earned the NCAA Division II Track and Field All-Academic Team Award for the third consecutive year.

The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference had six programs earn the honor on the women's side, with the Lady Hardrockers having the highest GPA.

Track and Field Head Coach Jerry Schafer says it's extremely difficult to be an athlete and also perform well in the classroom year after year, but the athletes continually seem to make the grade.

School of Mines President, Dr. Heather Wilson says she is proud these students excel in all areas.
