Haleigh Timmer gives verbal commitment to South Dakota State

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The South Dakota State women’s basketball team only had to look across the state to find its latest recruit.

According to ProspectsNation.com, St. Thomas More standout Haleigh Timmer has verbally committed to play women’s basketball for the Jackrabbits.

Timmer has been playing on the varsity girls basketball team at STM since she was an eighth grader.

This season, she averaged 22 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals per game.

Timmer has also scored over 1,000 points in her high school career.

Timmer is hoping to wrap up her junior season by playing in the State ‘A’ Girls Basketball Tournament which is tentatively scheduled for June.
