Governor Noem rides in Central States Fair rodeo

RAPID CITY, S.D. — On Saturday, Governor Kristi Noem made an appearance at the grandstand for the final performance of the Range Days Rodeo at the Central States Fairgrounds.

Mounted on a horse carrying the South Dakota flag, Noem, who has just returned from the Republican National Convention, took a few laps around the stadium to the cheers of many.

Noem says the state and the rodeo holds a special place in her heart.

“I‘m in South Dakota and I love it and this is filled with wonderful South Dakota people that are enjoying our way of life. This may be one of my most favorite things to do. What I‘ve grown up doing with my family and so it’s good to be home.”

Noem was also honored by the Central States Fair board who officials say made the fair possible this year amidst uncertainty due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
