Golden Ticket Cinemas has a successful opening weekend

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Golden Ticket Cinemas had a very successful opening weekend. The unique layout, the reclining seats, and the various food and beverage option were a hit.

For Friday and Saturday, they sold about 1,700 movie tickets, making a little over $10,000 in box office sales. For the first time ever the theater’s concessions and restaurant revenue out-grossed its box office sales. Owner Michael Hartley says the hot food was favored by customers.

The most tickets were sold for “Terminator” and the second most popular “Joker.” The theater actually had to add more showtimes for “Joker” due to the high demand.
