Gold Diggers hosts food drive for Feeding South Dakota

RAPID CITY, S.D. — Gold Diggers Black Hills Gold teamed up with Feeding South Dakota on Saturday.

All day long people were welcome to shop and drop off non-perishables for Feeding South Dakota. Gold Diggers had a large tub where people could place the food. For those who donated food, a five percent discount and an additional one percent for every extra can up to ten percent.

“Gold Diggers is definitely a company that really wants to focus on the local business and getting the community involved, and I really think that a food drive for Feeding South Dakota is a really great way to do that.” said Carrietta Schalesky, employee at Gold Diggers.

Feeding South Dakota has a warehouse of food which goes towards their pantry and food donation events each year.
