A community weather outlook
Saturday November 16th, Shaviq Studio & Gallery will team up with local goat handler CK for a goat yoga session. Goat yoga is a fun alternative to normal yoga, and has become wildly popular since its inception in 2016. Its popularity can be attributed to it being a type of animal-assisted therapy, helping to create a balance between the yogi and nature. Being a part of nature includes playful kids walking on the backs of participants, and occasional goat snuggles. Shaviq will host a number of goats, including class favorites Nutmeg and Izzy this weekend. The class is sold out, but no worries–this is a monthly event. It is popular though, so it’s best to get tickets early. For art lovers, the gallery also hosts a number of different arts and crafting classes, and is home to a number of talented local artists.
Weather for the event will be mostly mild. There will be a system passing through, but widespread impacts are not expected. There will be light rain ending around noon
, and isolated showers continuing throughout the afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 40s to low 50s, with lows in the high 20s. The day will also be fairly breezy with wind gusts up to 35 mph. Overall, it will be a mild day, just a bit we and windy.
