Girls Golf: Horning leads STM to team title at Douglas Invite

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Snow and cold weather have hindered the early part of the girls high school golf season.

Most teams opened the new season on April 11, but have only been able to play one or two meets so far.

Teams from the Black Hills gathered in Box Elder on Tuesday for the Douglas Invite.

St. Thomas More emerged as the team champions with a total score of 425.

Custer finished second at 440.

The medalist was eighth grader Rylan Horning from St. Thomas More who carded a 9-over 81.
