Girls Basketball Playoffs: STM & Belle Fourche advance to SoDak 16

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The girls basketball playoffs continued on Saturday with several teams looking to punch a ticket to the SoDak 16.

Top-seeded St. Thomas More earned a victory in Region 8A as the Cavaliers defeated Hill City, 54-37.

Reese Ross led STM with 17 points followed by Jada Mollman with 16 points.

The Cavaliers improve to 18-3 on the season and have earned the No. 5 spot in the SoDak 16.

St. Thomas More will play Vermillion on Thursday, March 3 with the winner punching a ticket to the State ‘A’ Girls Basketball Tournament.

Meanwhile, Belle Fourche pulled out a one point win Rapid City Christian, 50-49.

So the Broncs will play No. 3 Hamlin in the SoDak 16.
