GALLERY: Tornado damage in the Black Hills
Monday’s Tornado has been rated as an EF2 by the National Weather Service in Rapid City.
It’s estimated that winds over 120 mph ripped through the Black Hills National Forest near Tinton Road in Western Lawrence County. At its widest, the damage width Was estimated to be over 770 yards, over seven football fields.
There were two tornadoes confirmed on Monday, the second in Northwestern Crook County Which was determined to not have caused any property damage.
That same storm would go on to drop baseball size hail in portions of the Black Hills.
