FREE flu vaccination clinic

For college students and children in Pennington County

RAPID CITY, S.D. – To protect the health and welfare of college students and children in South Dakota, a free Influenza shot clinic is being provided by the South Dakota Department of Health and Rapid City Pennington County Emergency Management.

The South Dakota Dept. of Health recommends getting your flu shot as early as possible to protect you through the entire flu season.

The flu clinic will take place on Thursday, Nov. 1 at Western Dakota Technical Institute’s Event Center from 2-6 p.m.

A limited supply of vaccinations are available and will be administered on a first come, first served basis.

This Point of Dispense Clinic is targeted to protect all college students (regardless of age) in Pennington County, and is also available throughout Pennington County for children 6 months through age 18 years.

A consent form must be completed for every individual receiving the flu shot.

The form can be completed ahead of time and can be obtained by visiting www.pennco.org/pod.

If the parent/guardian is unable to accompany their child to the clinic, the form must be completed, with parental phone number added, and signed ahead of time.
